'First Aid- First Hand'
Like many of our staff, Scott Knight and Paul Manaher took to the road ready for another day on the job with the rest of their gang. Whilst driving, they discovered a driver in the lorry ahead of them, was not moving and slouched over the wheel shaking. Immediately Paul and Scott ran to the lorry to attend to the driver.

Keeping cyclists safe this winter
CONWAY AECOM have procured two multipurpose bespoke quad bikes to support our gritting and horticultural requirements. These bikes will be used for de-icing cycle paths and footways, to ensure cyclist and pedestrian safety during the winter period. During the warmer months the vehicles will also be utilised for weeding and watering.

CONWAY AECOM i-CON success
The Field Service Dispatch Centre will now be used to issue scheduled work orders to the mobile devices already being used on the TfL network. Operatives issued with the latest iPad technology have been receiving emergency call outs via the i-CON system since June and will now have the facility to receive reactive work in the same way.

Footbridge given a new lease of life
Cromwell Road footbridge on the A406 at Pinkham Way, was lifted back into place at the weekend after receiving bridge deck refurbishment works. The pedestrian footbridge which provides locals and school children with safe passage over six lanes of live traffic, has been given a new lease of life.

CONWAY AECOM and FM Conway are taking further steps to safeguard vulnerable road users. Each year the number of cyclists on London’s roads increase, as does the number of fatalities.

First week bulletin
Week one at CONWAY AECOM has been busy, exciting and above all, successful. The week started with an official visit from the Roads and LoHAC team, who were shown around the North Action depot. Dana Skelley, Director of Roads was particularly interested in the new Canter Eco Hybrid 7.5 tonne vehicles and John Blower, LoHAC Partnership Manager was impressed by our depot and fleet provision.
